At Woods, we are big advocates of the Woods Rewards Card program because of all the awesome savings that we are able to bring to our loyal customers! An important savings opportunity that we hope all of our customers participate in includes the Special Buy sale.

What are these? Special buys are often for a limited time, 2 or 3 days, and are focused on one or two items. What makes them so special is the incredible savings that come with the sale. Periodically, manufacturers or growers will over-produce and need to sell their products to avoid taking a loss. The Woods team is constantly keeping our ears to the ground for these special opportunities.

One example took place in June. Cherub Tomatoes had a plentiful harvest giving us the opportunity to sell America’s favorite tomato on a Buy One Get One Free sale. Most recent, this weekend we had a Special Buy on strawberries and blueberries!

Typically we see special buy opportunities 1-2 times a month, with longer gaps possible. We know how plentiful the rain has been this year, and have seen an uptick in opportunities from California produce. Because these are a bit more unpredictable, our only method to get the word out is via our Woods email customer list and social media.

We want all of our customers to take advantage of these deals when they come! These kinds of deals offer great savings that you can’t find at other local grocery stores.
