Update from CEO
Posted on March 20th, 2020 by Sterling GreenTo all our valued guests,
For more than 70 years, you and your families have counted on Woods Supermarkets. As the uncertainty of the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be seen across the state and communities we serve, we want you to know that our team is working hard to support our guests, our teammates and our communities. In doing our part, we are connected to our communities more than ever.
Like other retailers, we are experiencing an increase in demand for items like cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper among others. We are working closely with our suppliers to ensure that as soon as these items are available they are shipped to our stores. During this time of unprecedented demand, we thank you for your understanding as we work to get products on the shelf as quickly as possible. We ask that you limit your purchases on key items to a maximum of two to ensure that we can fairly serve more of the community.
The health and safety of our guests and teammates is our priority. To accomplish this, we are instituting measures to improve social distancing in our processes, such as placing items on service counters instead of directly handing them to guests and using hand sanitizer between each guest at the register. We will also not allow the use of reusable shopping bags at this time. All orders will be bagged in new bags supplied by our store.
Even when there is uncertainty, Woods Supermarket is committed to providing a store that is real fast, real fresh with real connection to the communities we serve.
Sincerely,
Frank Archer
